So I'm just finishing up on the body for my alien. Here is the head and I should connect it with the body by tonight. Pretty much done!
I'm having trouble with the back leg and making it less 'cat-like' and more 'ferret-like'. What do you guys think? Here are some reference images of ferrets:

Great work! It is up to you how "cat-like" or how "ferret-like" you want your alien. Personally, I like your model!

ReplyDeleteFerrets are kind of tough because they're so abnormal to what we're used to. It's looking good though Sean! I really like the face. You're really good at modeling teeth!

ReplyDeleteIt looks very ferret like to me except the ears stand out as the most cat like feature. Actually it could also pass for some sort of otter body-wise. I like that you can't really match it up to any one animal though. Maybe instead of the little nails he has now make them really thick claws. I don't know why but he also might look cool with longer toes.
Oh and maybe if you put the ears a little lower on the head like more to the sides it'll look more ambiguous or more dog like. Or just weird, not sure.
I can't wait to see him in action!
